Anna Sjögren earned her Ph.D. in economics at the Stockholm School of Economics in 1998. She works as a researcher at IFAU and at the Institute for Social Research, SOFI, Stockholm University. Her research focuses on education, human capital, family economics and the labor market. At present, she is involved in a project studying the importance of school and family policies for child health, and human capital development. Another project deals with long run changes in men's and women's opportunities to combine family and career.
