This project studies wage formation in Sweden and the OECD countries. Differences between open and closed economies and the effects of changes in the bargaining power of unions are analysed. We especially focus on how international factors affect wage formation in different branches of industries. The project also studies the effects of wage coordination, nominal wage rigidities and the tax system. The analysis builds on macro data for the period 1960-2007.
