Maria Hemström Hemmingsson
Director General
Maria Hemström Hemmingsson is Director General and Head of IFAU. She has previously worked as a researcher, permanent under-secretary, general secretary in the Delegation for gender equality at work, and has been Director General of The Swedish Social Insurance Inspectorate (ISF) and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan). Maria received her PhD in economics at Uppsala University in 1998 with the thesis Salary determination in professional labor markets.
