Teaching strategies for improving literacy skills

In collaboration with the National Agency for Education, IFAU has conducted a teacher survey with the aim of examining the teaching strategies used to develop students’ literacy skills. The survey also included questions about in-service training and teachers’ work environment.

The purpose of this project is to compile and report the results of the survey, in order to give a descriptive overview of what strategies teachers use.

The project will also examine whether the teaching strategies and teacher collaboration have changed in schools that have participated in Läslyftet, an initiative to improve teachers’ competencies in teaching reading and writing skills.
