The effects of teacher training on student performance

The project evaluates the effects of an in-service teacher training programme on student test scores. The initiative is run by the Swedish National Agency for Education and focuses on developing teachers’ competencies in teaching language, reading and writing. The programme involves teacher collaboration and the use of designated didactical teaching materials under the guidance of a certified supervisor. The initiative is rolled out gradually across schools in Sweden and will be evaluated using a difference-in-differences design.
